AboutThe Ablation Gynecology Group is a platform designed for gynecologists with a special interest in ablation procedures for the treatment of gynecological conditions, such as uterine fibroids and adenomyosis. This subgroup focuses on various ablation techniques, including microwave ablation, radiofrequency ablation, and High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU). It provides an opportunity for members to come together, network, and exchange valuable insights, tips, and tricks to enhance their practice.
Among the main activities of this group is the 3-Day Microwave Ablation Workshop, conducted every three months starting from October 2024. This workshop is organized in collaboration with PiCASO Hospital in Petaling Jaya and is led by Dr. Tan Eee Ping. The workshop offers hands-on training and peer-to-peer support, ensuring participants gain practical skills and knowledge in the latest ablation techniques.
The group also engages in discussions about the latest developments, research findings, and ongoing controversies in the field of ablation therapy. Through this platform, members receive the necessary training and expertise to advance their careers and improve patient outcomes.
