Advanced MIS, Robotic & Ablation Society of Gynaecologists Malaysia (AMRAS)

Foreword by the President
It is my great honour to serve as President of the Advanced Minimally Invasive, Robotic, and Ablation of Gynaecologists Malaysia (AMRAS). I warmly welcome you to our society and thank all members and partners for their continued support in advancing women’s healthcare in Malaysia.
AMRAS remains committed to promoting excellence in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery through education, training, research, and collaboration. As technology continues to evolve, we strive to equip healthcare professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based care.
In the coming years, we aim to strengthen engagement with government agencies, public healthcare institutions, and key stakeholders to improve access to quality gynaecological care and support the advancement of surgical innovation nationwide.
A key focus of AMRAS is increasing awareness and advocacy for endometriosis, a condition that affects many women yet remains under-recognised and often diagnosed late. Through education, collaboration, and public engagement, we hope to improve awareness, facilitate earlier diagnosis, and enhance care for women living with endometriosis.
We will also continue to champion the advancement of minimally invasive surgery, robotic-assisted surgery, and gynaecological ablation therapies through high-quality training programmes, scientific activities, and professional networking opportunities.
Together, through collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to excellence, we can continue to improve women’s health and shape the future of gynaecological surgery in Malaysia.
Sincerely,
Dr Tan Ee Ping
President
