AMRAS- SAYGE Certification (ASC)

ASC programmes are led by various committees within AMRAS, in coordination with the SAYGE Executive Committee, to ensure effective organization and management of ASC training and hands-on programmes.

ASC Programmes & Fellowship Collaboration between AMRAS and UKM

AMRAS and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) work together in the establishment of a long-term fellowship programme in Minimally Invasive Gynaecologic Surgery (FMIGS), as well as Advanced Minimally Invasive Gynaecologic Surgery (AMIGS). Each party appoints a representative to serve as programme director. These programme directors are responsible for developing and managing various joint activities, including the ASC programmes, and for overseeing all aspects of training for participating doctors.

ASC training programmes and certifications are endorsed by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) through a joint collaboration between AMRAS and UKM. A Letter of Intent and Memorandum of Understanding was signed by representatives of both parties on 19 May 2025 and officially announced during the AMRAS 2025 Annual Congress.

The ASC programmes form key components of both the (FMIGS) and the (AMIGS) programmes, as some ASC certifications are requirements to pass for FMIGS and AMIGS training.
