The Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery (AMIS) Committee

The Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery (AMIS) Committee is committed to advancing the science, education, and practice of all aspects of minimally invasive surgery.

This includes Gynaecologic Endoscopy, Basic to Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, Robotic-assisted surgery. AMIS Committee is positioned at the forefront of surgical innovation , driving continuous improvement in the delivery of advanced minimally invasive procedures.

Comprising experts in various subspecialties, the committee provides a platform for the development, evaluation, and dissemination of innovative surgical techniques and technologies.

Objectives of AMIS

AMIS Committee works with the the various Committees of AMRAS in educational and certification programmes with the following objectives:
  • Promoting evidence-based practices, fostering high-quality research, and ensuring rigorous training standards for current and future Gynaecologic Minimally Invasive Surgeons.
  • Facilitate collaboration among institutions, industry partners, and academic bodies, aiming to enhance patient outcomes, reduce procedural morbidity, and set benchmarks for excellence in all aspects of Gynaecologic Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Surgical care.
  • Strategic initiatives in education, clinical practice, and technology assessment.
